Villa Rota is a noble residence in Ravenna. The Counts Pasolini Dall’Onda owned it until the mid-1900s, using it as their country estate until the First World War. Though built in the early 18th century, the mansion still reflects the Romagnol villa-castle style of the 16th and 17th centuries, designed to combine leisure with defense. On the main floor, an impressive doorway opens into the main hall, filled with natural light and adorned with skillfully restored frescoes.
The four symmetrical rooms surrounding the hall are each decorated with distinctive features, such as a beautiful working Baroque fireplace and colored linear motifs unique to each room.
A vast park with ornamental plants and centuries-old trees surrounds the villa. Hidden among the trees is a small family chapel in the classical style. In recent years, a striking glass pavilion was also added at the back of the villa—open to the starry sky in summer, and fully closable and heated in winter, ensuring it can be enjoyed year-round.
“It’s that feeling of home and intimacy, that family warmth that fills the walls of Villa Rota. The serenity you feel when you enter the room with the fireplace, the aroma wafting from the kitchen, the flowers blooming in the park—all of it reflects the human touch that defines us.”
After walking down the long entrance driveway, you step into the reception hall on the ground floor.
This spacious room connects the front facade of the villa with the rear.
To either side are the kitchen and service areas. Once the old stables of the estate, this space now serves as the welcoming area for guests.
From the ground floor, a staircase leads you to the beating heart of the villa.
On the main floor (piano nobile), you’ll find yourself immersed in a magical atmosphere—a grand hall graced with two majestic windows at opposite ends, where light streams in to illuminate the delicate frescoes on the walls.
This hall is remarkably versatile: it can host wedding ceremonies, seated dinners, aperitif buffets with food stations, or even transform into a conference room for corporate events.
On either side of the central hall, there are four symmetrical frescoed rooms, two of them featuring a beautiful fireplace. In winter, with the fire lit, the setting becomes truly enchanting
These rooms can be arranged with tables for a reception or used by the couple for their preparations.

At the back of the villa, nestled at the heart of the park, lies a stunning glass pavilion, its roof revealing the starry night sky. Open during the warmer months, it can be fully closed and heated in winter.
